Dear Prolife Friends:
Earlier this week, Mitt Romney said while he values (and pays big money for) people who exaggerate on his behalf, he is, "unfortunately" not the frontrunner.
Also making the news in the Romney campaign was the resignation of embattled Romney Secret Agent Man Garrity, after a story broke in the Boston Herald that staffers were using phony law enforcement badges handed out by Garrity.
Meanwhile, a spokesman for Romney confirmed yesterday that staff members under Garrity were issued badges while Romney was still working as governor. The campaign, however, denied knowledge of their use to intimidate reporters or employees at campaign venues across the country.
Romney hired the man previously exposed for impersonating a law officer, and when he handed out badges to staffers, they had no idea the phony law enforcement badges were being used to intimidate people while impersonating law officers. There are plenty uses for phony police badges and nobody gave any thought whatsoever as to the implicit intention. That's the honest to gods truth.
Who's to say the Mittmobile isn't a secret jail? Somebody ought to investigate missing persons reports in the vicinities they traveled. Romney staffers may have seen the Mittmojail when they were handed badges, but seriously, they never would have thunk the whole thing would be a misuse of the law by way of fraud.
After seeing this photo of Romney smiling away with a woman holding a sign saying "no to Obama, Osama and Chelsea's Momma" and autographing it for her, I think the possibility exists that Jay Garrity may well have been the sharpest tool in the whole Romney shed.
If your candidate is a liar with a complete lack of discretion and political savvy, wouldn't the most important thing in the campaign be keeping him away from anything and anyone where he hasn't been rehearsed on what to say?
