Carol,
Happy new year,
Fr. XXxx
Father, I think the Cardinal will roll out of bed thinking if only Jesus had the judgment of Sean O'Malley and said a prayer over the Herod instead of all the foolishness of offending people, none of us would be in this mess.
The political compromising of the craven has crippled Christ's Apsotolic mission. That's what I think. That's what you think. That's what anyone with a mustard seed of faith thinks.

As Deal points out, we can always rely on Judie Brown to defend the Sacred Body and Blood of Our Lord from being exploited and trampled upon.
WASHINGTON, December 19, 2006 (LifeSiteNews.com) - As Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.)—a pro-abortion legislator who claims to be a practicing Catholic—prepares to celebrate her new role as House Speaker-elect, she also plans on airing her purported faith during an upcoming public Mass. On Jan. 3, Rep. Pelosi is scheduled to attend Mass at Trinity College in Washington as an endorsement of her alma mater and her Catholic faith.
In response to the announcement, however, American Life League has implored Archbishop Donald Wuerl of Washington, D.C. to intervene in an effort to prevent Pelosi from using the Mass for political gain.
Pelosi is deliberately using the Blessed Sacrament to sanctify her dissent as Roman Catholic. This, is as revolting to Christ's Eucharastic people as it gets.
The idea that we do not know the state of her soul when she boldly defies and pronounces her unwillingness to repent is disingenuous. Repenting sinners don't continue to publicly lead the masses to perdition by way of articulating support for abortion.
Allowing Rep. Pelosi to receive honor at a Catholic college sends mixed signals about what the Catholic Church teaches," said Brown. "The bottom line is, abortion kills a living human being created in the image and likeness of God and is therefore always wrong. Because of this truth, it is unconscionable for Rep. Pelosi to call herself a Catholic in good standing while supporting the heinous act of abortion. We are hopeful that Archbishop Wuerl will intercede in this situation and prevent Rep. Pelosi from adding to an ongoing scandal."
"It is shameful that Trinity College, a supposedly Catholic institution, has turned a blind eye to the heretical views Pelosi embraces."

Voice of the Faithful is deeply disturbed at the action of both Bishop Fabian Bruskewitz of Lincoln NE and Cardinal Giovanni Battista Re, head of the Congregation for Bishops. In our goal to be a “voice” for faithful Catholics we call for an explanation of the process by which this decision was made. We are competent, educated people who understand the long history of this serious action and we see no justification for denying any person access to the life of the Church simply by virtue of her or his membership in a select group. Voice of the Faithful condemns the process by which a class of people was summarily excommunicated by a single bishop in the US. Instead, VOTF follows the long tradition of the Church where excommunication should be practiced rarely and individually with careful discernment.

The Jesuits have this poor soul captivated in their mirky cavern
The Globe is ruthless!
They have her sitting in a manger with all the wise men adoring her.
Meanwhile, Mary has morphed into myth, reflected in the reverent titles piled on her head -- queen of heaven, mother of the church -- that "are pushing the figure of Mary almost to the position of an Isis," the ancient Egyptian goddess, rather than a historical woman, Kimball says.
Fiddlesticks on all this crazy stuff in Scripture that has the Angels of God attending to the miraculous Woman crafted with God's hands without sin on her soul, while she fearlessly tells Gabriel let it be done to her according to God.
Her research, she says, concludes that Mary was sitting around pulling on her moustache with a basket on her head, terrified and trembling about raising a child without a man.
What's an army of angels and the Holy Spirit at your side if you don't have a man. I wonder what happened to Joseph in her tragic lack of understanding in Catholicism.
I wonder too, what the Cardinal will do when he opens up his Globe to read about this misled woman under his guardianship while he's looking for something to blog about.
Ave Maria
Gratia plena
Maria, gratia plena
Maria, gratia plena
Ave, ave dominus
Dominus tecum
Benedicta tu in mulieribus
Et benedictus
Et benedictus fructus ventris
Ventris tuae, Jesus.
Ave Maria
Ave Maria
Mater Dei
Ora pro nobis peccatoribus
Ora pro nobis
Ora, ora pro nobis peccatoribus
Nunc et in hora mortis
Et in hora mortis nostrae
Et in hora mortis nostrae
Et in hora mortis nostrae
Ave Maria

They argue that they are immune from liability for legislative actions
They may be immune from liability for injuries caused by the laws they legislate that are enacted with common sense, good judgment - etc. The immunity from liability does not extend to cover corruption.
If they decided on January 2nd to lift the laws on drunk driving and the citizens of the Commonwealth endure two years of arrogant, illicit theft of righteous empowerment from the people to correct their flaw - - the people injured are not left without tort.
With the SJC leaving them hanging on the rafter for their democratic treason, they are going to be hard pressed not to vote on the amendment.
Then again, this is Travigweenie.

Blasphemes in his final moments by using God's name to make his butchery out to be a holy mission.
Deal says it better than I could...
The death penalty for Hussein, in my judgement, is required by Catholic social teaching. "Bloodless means" applied to carrying out the court's verdict on his crimes would not protect the common good of Iraq. For Hussein to live on even under the most secure circumstances would have been a constant source of violence, rebellion, and, most likely, hostage taking.
These is precisely the circumstances the Catechism of the Roman Catholic Church intended to permit in it's approval for the death penalty under the right conditions.
The photos of the execution are macabre and pagan and I fail to see what there is to rejoice about - but it's fair to say that most of us are relieved when a butchering tyrant can no longer incite the hatred that causes people to kill one another.

Who would be the last person individuals in their right mind would hire to gain momentum with prolifers?
Clinton’s evangelical point man, Strider, will take his cue from Mara Vanderslice, whose consulting firm Common Good Strategies helped Democratic candidates make inroads among evangelical and churchgoing Roman Catholic voters in Kansas, Michigan, Ohio, and Pennsylvania. She has some savvy stragies:
The Democrats To God be the Glory Campaign.
I guess if you buy into the philosophy that Bob Casey won prolifers over Rick Santorum because the super slueth Eucharist chewer and spitter was on Casey's team, this all makes some kind of sense?
I don't buy into it. Speaking to many prolifers across the nation, knowing how they feel - it's pretty clear to me that Casey won because (with all due respect for Rick and his work) Santorum made the unfortunate error of supporting Arlen Specter and prolifers have a new zero tolerance policy. I suspect the days of putting a candidate before prolifers and asking them to vote for the lesser of two evils, prolifers will disengage from politics in 2008 and let the chips fall where they may.
I don't see a stampede behind K-Lo of National Review and Maggie Gallagher and I'd be shocked to ever see one. The wizards at the RNC could open wide the path to Pennsylvannia Avenue for Osama Obama and the Clintons but it will have nothing whatsoever to do with the sacreligious Vanderslice.

Sarah Loy, 27, who supports same-sex marriages, said she was facing the crowd with a sign that read "No discrimination in the constitution" when a man approached her outside city hall, telling her she had to leave.
Dear Mr. Nangle,
I suppose ugly is in the eye of the beholder, but from where I stood in the
crowd at the "Let the People Vote" rally, it was Sarah Loy who staged the
incident that you reported as assault and battery.
I saw Larry Cirgnano approach anti-traditional marriage protester Sarah Loy at
the "Let the people vote" rally. I was about 15 feet to Ms. Loy's right, up a
couple of steps with a clear view, and Larry had to move right in front of my
field of vision as I was looking at the Speaker, Chris Mineau.
Ms. Loy, who was standing in front of our 'Let the People Vote' crowd, was
holding a pro same-sex marriage sign, and was as close to the podium as about
anyone was, even though she clearly was not in our group. I saw Larry move
quickly towards her, but I did not see Larry touch her. I saw her turn and run
away quickly as Larry approached. When she was about 4-5 feet away from Larry,
she took a dive to her right, at about a 75 degree angle from the direction and
momentum both she and Larry were moving in. She went immediately into a fetal
position.
Larry could not have pushed her to the ground because she was not in arms reach
when she started to go down, and if as she contends Larry did push her, she
would have gone forward, not to her right at almost a right angle. Larry's
momentum and direction would have made her go forward in a straight line, not
change her direction. I think you should have presented the fact that Larry
Cirgignano was not arrested even after the police investigated in the begining
of the story, on the front page. The police did not arrest Mr. Cirignano
because he did not push Ms. Loy to the ground, she staged it.
I am curious, did you see any bruise, bump or blood on Sarah Loy's head where it
slammed "against the concrete sidewalk"?
The charges are absurd to anyone who knows Cirignano's gentle spirit.
